You don’t know much,
That’s plain to see,
Otherwise you, you would know me.
So go the catchy opening lines off the title track of Lost Caravan’s debut EP, You Don’t Know Me. It’s a fitting message from a band who in just over two years, has caught the public’s attention and has moved from playing intimate café shows to being invited to perform at the Colorado State Fair, PrideFest Denver, RAW, Music in the Meadows, and countless other events for audiences of thousands. But they’re nowhere near satisfied… Based out of the same Denver, CO neighborhoods that helped spawn The Lumineers and Churchill, lead singer Lindsay Meredith, along with her band, is poised to put the Mile High City on the map yet again.
Meet the Lost Caravan: Lindsay Meredith – vocals/rhythm guitar, Nick Einterz – lead guitar, Owen Tharp – upright bass, and Jared Forqueran – drums/percussion. It was only early 2012 that Meredith’s new-found sound came as a sudden awakening and since that moment, she’s wasted no time unleashing it upon the public. Blessed with sultry vocals and catchy songwriting abilities that could easily have been used for saccharine-sweet pop, Meredith chose to fuse her radio-friendly sensibilities with raucous Balkan flavor to create something entirely new. Described as “Rodrigo y Gabriela meets Gwen Stefani”, she has coined her distinctive blend of pop-rock and gypsy jazz: Gypsy Rock; a style as exotic and lively as the artist herself.
But Meredith and her band aren’t stopping there. As the band has grown together, true colors have emerged as seen in the addition of electric guitar and edgy, rock influences. Now, the Lost Caravan is igniting stages with spine-tingling musicianship, catchy melodies, and captivating vocals. Keep your eye on these guys…
